These are the inspiration models corresponding to Asia: Hong Kong System, Seven Spirit Inc, Connect System and Japan System, which are driven by the ideology and principles of our founding director, conforming, within their own nature, into application spaces for music education, based on the teaching methodology of El Sistema that seeks its own social and artistic result at the national and international level.

Currently, based in Tin Shui Wai and the Western District, El Sistema Hong Kong provides classes to more than 50 children and the elderly, using the musical method of El Sistema de Venezuela.

The organization is led by Melissa Niño, an esteemed teacher and violinist who grew up in El Sistema. Her team includes an active board, a volunteer administrative group, community partner organizations, and a strong network of teachers.

Philippines

1. Seven Spirit Inc

It is a non-profit organization, created in February 2012, based in the Philippines. It aims to educate the life skills of underprivileged children, through the music and sports education program. It promotes human development in its various aspects.

The institution pays special attention to transforming the lives of poor youth, children, juvenile delinquents, the marginalized and economically backward sector of communities, by creating equal opportunities, enhancing their potential to lead a life of justice, equality with dignity, through music and sports education.

2. Sistemang Pilipino

Inspired by Tocar Y Luchar in 2009, Sistemang Pilipino began its music training programs in April 2013 at an orphanage, SOS Children’s village in Cebu, Philippines. It has gone on to public schools and local communities since then. Over 500 students have gone through either choir training, orchestra training, music workshops or master classes by local and visiting artists. The organization has also done outreach concerts for over 3,500 people since January 2012.

The organization has brought together a range of individuals and organizations since it began with its mission of uplifting children and their communities through music. On its 9th year of training programs, the organization is working to migrate to hybrid learning platforms – online and offline, developing strategic partnerships and linkages, and updating its overall operations, for greater accreditation and support, for sustainability.
