choral and orchestral conductor. Starting at the “Escuela Superior de Música de Caracas” at the age of 12, he studied trumpet with Maestro Rafael Puche and received his musical training from Maestros Evencio Castellanos and José Antonio Abreu.
From the early 70s he was dedicated intensively to choir conducting, presenting concerts
with the “CANTV choir” and in 1971, founding the “Coral Filarmónica de Aragua”. It is in this
year that he begins to accompany Maestro Abreu in the creation process of what is known
today as El Sistema, opening a space for social rescue to Venezuelan youth and children
through music.

Choral Director
Four decades and a long career as a chorister, choir director and her solid musical training have allowed her to assume the commitment to develop and strengthen the choral movement of El Sistema, from her position as a teacher in nuclei, performer as a member of orchestras, to choir director and trainer of generations of musicians.
